Our Career Development Awards are a testament to the dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment of these professionals who play a vital role in shaping the future of countless individuals.

Career Development Practitioner of the Year
The Experienced Career Practitioner of the Year is awarded to an outstanding career development professional with five or more years of experience in the career development field. They are selected based on the unique role they play and the resulting positive outcomes in activities, initiatives, projects or publications that demonstrate exceptional ongoing achievement. The contributions of the nominee are innovative, and exceptional, including ongoing achievements that have had a positive impact on his or her organization and/or the profession as a whole.
Emerging Career Development Practitioner
Emerging Career Practitioner of the Year is awarded to a practitioner who has less than 5 years of experience in the career development field. They are acknowledged for their unique role in the career sector in activities, initiatives, projects, or publications that demonstrate exceptional early and ongoing achievement. Their nomination gives evidence that they are innovative and have had a positive impact on his or her organization and/or the profession as a whole.
Career Development Agency of the Year
The Career Development Agency of the Year is awarded to an agency that has shown innovative and exceptional contributions to the career development profession. They use practices that align with the ethical standards of BCCDA and their innovative practices include the promotion and maintenance of career development work skills. In addition, they serve as a model to others in recognizing the contributions made by their employees and in fostering advancement in career development through research, theory, practice, and leadership. The agency also has a long-standing record of hiring employees with CCDP designation.
Career Development Leader of the Year
The Career Development Leader of the Year Award recognizes an exceptional individual who has made a profound impact on the sector, transcending organizational boundaries to shape the trajectory of career development in remarkable ways. This prestigious accolade celebrates the outstanding achievements of a leader who has left an indelible mark on the industry, inspiring others with their mentorship, igniting enthusiasm in staff and clients, forging transformative partnerships with funders and fellow organizations, and demonstrating unwavering dedication through volunteering and leadership.
